Review: Thrill - Biddy Ronelle

After the huge success of her first EP Aftershocks Biddy is coming back with vengeance in the form of her new single Thrill. Thrill was initially supposed to be on her EP but ‘Change It’ replaced its positions. I am so glad we are getting this as a single, as Biddy describes, it shows a cheekier side to life.

With a mixture of banjos, guitars and a wonderful drumbeat, Biddy starts Thrill in a different direction to her previous music. The whole feel to this song is warm and light-hearted. I use the word warm; it, however, is all about hooking up which is brilliant! She comes to a realisation that the person she is hanging out with, isn’t really in it for love but only being there for the night to ‘give her fill’. In a world of songs about finding that special one or having your heartbroken, it’s refreshing to hear an adult pop/country song that is all about having fun and living life. As always, Biddy supplies us with brilliant vocals, fantastic musicianship and entertainment we need in a talented singer/songwriter!

I, as well as many others out there, cannot wait till gigging can recommence so we can see Biddy perform Thrill, and the rest of her collection, live on stage!

You can pre-order/pre-save Thrill on the 26th June and will be released on the 31st July. You will be thanking me later!
